The sun has been shining here and since it rained all summer we’ve been making the most of the sunshine. I finally got a page created for a challenge at Dixie Pieces, The challenge was to use a Beatles song Title and do it in a rock style.
Last weekend we went 4-wheeling along the edge of Eklutna – a glacial fed lake. All the leaves were turning yellow and the sun was shining – it was an awesome day. I used the photos from then to crete this page.
Psst – do you want to know a secret?
Journaling reads,”Alaska’s true gold is not mined. It’s treasure is in the amazing scenery, particularly in the Fall. The golden birch leaves glitter in the rays of soft Fall sunbeams. The air is crisp. A sharp scent of tangy cranberries mixes with decaying leaves and woodsmoke. A golden day indeed.”
I used coredinations CS, My Little Shoebox sticker letters, Sassafras Lass glitter sticker letters, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, American craft brads, making meories felt button, Crate Paper chipboard flower, sassafras lass heart sticker, handstitching, misc button and ribbon, Fiskars edge punch. The journaling spot is a digital one from Elle’s Studio. I modified the color, added text, printed, cut out and pop dotted onto my page
