Getting Out and About in Alaska

Yesterday we went for a3 hour  hike up Crow Creek Pass – it’s a popular hike here (i.e. you may meet up to 12 other hiking groups while you’re out!).  It gets pretty steep and for me is quite challenging. The day was overcast with a bit of drizzle, windy and lots of snow patches along the way.  But  we can’t wait on nice weather – gotta go when we can.  Nathan practically ran the whole way, taking lots of side trips up the mountains along either side of the trail.  I really envied him his youth – my brain wanted to be alongside him but my body wasn’t cooperating.  It was just amazing to be out among this spectacular scenery

Me dressed for the elements – raincoat, gloves, the lot

Dan and Lauren resting – well – waiting for me to catch up!

The summit – there are two little figures there – Nathan and Dan
