Surprise !!

We had very little snow in Alaska this year and what we had had melted (6 weeks earlier than normal).  The weather was Springlike, in the 40s and sunny.  We started all our Spring activities – cleaned up the dog poop from the yard, lifted any litter that was trapped under the snow, brushed the gravel off the driveway.  I’d even spent a few hours removing studs from my tires so that I could get them changed over to summer tires. My son had plans for Frisbee. My daughter just bought new sandels.  However, woke up this morning to 3 inches of fresh snow and it’s still falling – what a downer !!

Anyway – here is a page of a few summers ago in Scotland.  We found an amazing dirt bike area. My brother and I rode some but Nathan did the whole black trail.  It took a little longer for him than we expected and we were worried we’d have to head out on the trail ourselves to find him.  So glad he made it back otherwise it would have been 20 miles of torture for me!!

It’s based on a fabulous sketch from Laura Whittaker at Boys Rule Scrapbook Kits
