Playing with Illustrator

I don’t know how I ever got along without Adobe Illustrator – I’m having so much fun learning how to use it and creating cool images. So much so that I’ve had no scrappy time. I just finished a striking geometric cut file that I can’t wait to share with you and create a page with.  I’ve also been creating a lot more files for the April release.

Woohoo! and a Featured Artist

I had my first etsy Cut Mania sales – thanks Melinda and I just wanted to share the amazing pages she created with some of the files.  I love how she really made them her own and to suit her style and projects You can check out more of Melinda’s creations on her blog or at her etsy store Just1Life2Live

On this page she used two of the same cut file to great her won design – love how the colors pop against the text b/g

I had a page planned with this cut file also but my cat Meow found it on my desk and chewed it up – apparently he loves long stringy bits of paper !!

Hey – It’s March

We’ve been having record temperatures in Alaska (30-40’s) and we have very little snow – just lots of ice.  It’s feeling like Spring isn’t far around the corner.

I don’t normally scrap with a lot of green but in celebration of St. Paddy’s day this month and the hope of Spring here’s a green-ish page.

I used one of the new March cut files and a print and cut from my etsy store Cutmania.  I’d love it if you dropped by and checked out the new items

A Trip to the Dark Side – LOL!

while on my scrapbooking hiatus I did actually create a few pages – but they were digital.  I love the flexibility, the ease of techniques, the ease to correct mistakes and the lack of mess in my scrap area.  I think I’m goig to try and scraplist these pages in paper soon

I love the bright colors and layers in this one

Moving to the Dark Side !

I seem to have been doing more and more digi recently.  I love playing with the techniques and elements.  And becasue it’s so easy I’ve also been getting back to journaling.  In digi it is easy to write so much more and really tell the story.  Here are a few recent ones that I finished

I love this kit – it has great colors and wonderful elelments.  It’s from peppermincreations.com. Techno Geek free kit.

this one was also created with a free kit from memory makers.

This last one is actually a hybrid.  I did most of the hard work in PSE, telling the story of Nathan’s diabetes diagnosis.  Then I printed it out and added cardstock and rubons
