As soon as I saw this sketch from Scrap Our Stash and the challenge from the Scrapbook Generation lucky me crop I knew it would be perfect for some of my Ireland photos. Every time we visit we spend several days in the forest parks. This is my journaling from the layout
“Ireland’s forest parks are magical places. Created within the walls of old castles or stately homes, they offer many beautiful walks. Follow the rushing rivers as they tumble over large granite rocks, or take a dip in the ice cold clear crystal pools. Climb some of largest trees I’ve seen or admire the amazing display of colorful rhodedendrons. Dappled sunlight shining through the lush foilage is so peaceful. I’m so lucky it was all on my doorstep growing up and that my children still can experience it as I did”
AND you get a sneak peek of one of Cutmania‘s (my etsy shop) March cutfiles which I used for the title
I used a doily, Echo Park paper, Fancy Pants tag and flair
Finally getting some scrapping done even though I’m tired from last night – had to take our doggie to the vet since he had a very scary seizure at 2:00 am. Luckily he seems OK now so we’re praying it’s a one-off – blood test and exam were fine.
A few years back I took Nathan and Lauren to Chena Hot Springs. They had this pretty cool sculpture made from stacked moose antlers. I thought it would be perfect for the scrap our stash February challenge. I was obviously inspired y the moose and the red, blue and grey
I also used a fun sketch from Stuck Sketches – rotated to suit my pic
Thank goodness for youtube – need to know anything – a how to video is out there.
I found this cute photo of Lauren petting a goat at the state fairs’ petting zoo. Unfortunately there were a million other kids in the photo too I managed to edit the photo to just leave the two main stars.
This page was inspired by scrappy friends challenges
this or that – I used a polaroid frame
Brenda’s wonderful sketch– replacing the filmstrip with scattered hearts
Kelly’s mood board – I was inspired by the brown, white and pink and the love theme and the wood in the kissing booth
My favorite beach in Costa Rica was Playa Grande – miles of beautiful sandy each, rock pools, warm sea, hermit crabs and pelicans and hardly anyone around – reminded me of the beaches in Ireland
This page was inspired by the Feb 1st sketch at Stuck Sketches (rotated)
Finally reclaiming my life – seems like I’ve had no time for scrapping lately Nathan has a complicated college plan and we’ve finally got all applications in. Lauren is now starting to get mail from colleges and she’s only a sophomore. I’ve been installing insulation in the ceiling at the house we’re renovating and also laying a wood laminate floor
I’ve also been having fun creating cut files and printables for my etsy store but having lots of headaches trying to get them in suitable files and resolutions for customers Think I’ve finally got over the learning curve and I’ve lots of fun ideas for March.
Today, I got to scrap – had a lot of fun playing with this page. It seems like when I use my cut files I need to add less embellies since the cutfile has enough design in itself.
I loved the combination of black, white and bright swirls on this one I used an 8 1/2 x 11 version of “Love Is In the Air” cutfile
please come check out my Cutmania store – don’t forget the 20% discount – just enter GOT2016.
I’m excited to announce that I have a new etsy store with quite a variety of cut files and printables available – mainly Valentine/love themed for now but lots more in the pipeline. Sign up to be a follower on this blog to get info on the newest releases as I roll them out and for inspiration on how to use them.
AND till the end of February you can get a 20% discount on everything – just enter code GOT2016
For the printables you do not need a cutting machine They can be printed and hand cut.
Here’s an example of a card I created with one of the printables – will have to get a better photo in the daylight
I’d love for you to stop by and check out my store and I’d love to see any projects you create using my files.
This is a fun new cut file which I created with a love theme. It’s currently on sale in my etsy store 1ofakindak along with 9 other files. I hope you check them out.
I will be posting example/inspiration pages using all the new cut files over the next week or so
So, I’ve been playing around with digital cut files and I’m toying with the idea of opening a store In the meantime I will be putting files for sale on etsy.
Here’s the link 1 of a Kind So far , only two files up but several more ready to be made available. Check back often to see examples using my new cut files or better still suscribe to my blog.
Some things never change. Nathan and Lauren love to explore the rock pools and beaches for treasures. I decided to SL a page from 2010 – one of my most commented on pages of all time. I decided to bring it up to date with a cutfile (created by yours truly and for sale in my etsy store – blatant plug)
